Public Works Department
The Public Works Department is made up of four smaller departments: Water Treatment Plant, Parks, streets and Maintenance. It is under the direction of Jesus Almaraz, who is the superintendent of public works and oversees all aspects of maintaining the town. Mr. Almaraz is assisted by treatment plant supervisor Heber Jacquez, who acts in the absence of the superintendent. Also assisting is Oscar Torres, who is supervisor of maintenance and oversees three employees that are responsible for maintaining the water system and streets. The remaining public works employees are Roman Rivera, Joel Munoz, Steven Ramirez and two water clerks, Sylvia Chavez and Judy Franzer, who are located at the town hall.
The parks are made up of almost 57 acres of land, of which almost 35 acres are developed.
